Wholesale mixing machine prices

September 17, 2013

Many people believe when looking for a wholesaler of mixing machines who will provide them with reliability and good pricing that they have to go to a big wholesaler or directly to the company/manufacturer, although this is definitely a good option there are other avenues to explore. We will explore the obvious and not so obvious options in this article, along with their benefits and detriments. Firstly, let us look at the more obvious avenues, such as the manufacturers themselves.

When heading for your wholesale needs, a good idea is to compare prices from the different manufacturers of the mixing machine you are interested in. Ask them what deals they may offer in return for your regular business and always ask about price matching (if they will match a competitor’s pricing). The benefits of going straight to the manufacturer can be:

  • Reliability – you can always go back if you have issues with the product
  • Ease of access to spare parts
  • Knowledge of the product

However, the disadvantages can also be:

  • Cornering of the market, they think you need them and not that they need you.
  • Pushing up of prices due to over abundance in the market
  • Only one brand of mixers

Industry Wholesalers

Another good option and a historical one is to visit your industry’s main wholesaler, they may be able to provide you with a good deal and advice. The advantages of such companies may be:

  • Knowledge of wholesale needs
  • Variety of makes, models and sources
  • Can advise you on best the best value for money

The down points can be:

  • Larger profit margin for them, they will want to make sure they are getting back the money they spent but also gain some in the process
  • Might be driven to push certain brands or models by the manufacturer
  • Big wholesalers may lack the personal touch

Local wholesalers or online wholesalers

Local and online wholesalers are two other avenues to pursue as they may be able to provide you with the care and attention you need. The main pros of these are:

  • With online wholesalers there is no overheads of having a premises so prices can be lower
  • Local wholesalers will be focused on customer satisfaction so they can retain your business
  • Both will be striving for word of mouth advertising

The cons of these are as follows:

  • Might not have the backing of a well established name
  • Smaller variety of stock
  • Possibility of a smaller range of knowledge
